Review by hotel critic
My recent stay at C Central Hotel on Bui Vien Walking Street was mixed, but there were some bright spots amid the challenges. The hotel is perfectly located for anyone who enjoys the vibrant nightlife of Ho Chi Minh City, with plenty of bars and restaurants just steps away. Unfortunately, I faced a power blackout lasting nearly eight hours during my stay, which was frustrating, especially since it also affected the lifts. Despite that setback, my room was clean and comfy, and I appreciated the mini bar's reasonable prices - perfect for unwinding after exploring. I did feel a bit uneasy one night when loud knocking and a bustling corridor disturbed my sleep, overshadowing the excellent service my friends had spoken highly of before my visit. The bright side included a delicious breakfast and friendly staff who helped arrange tours around the city, which I genuinely enjoyed, including a fantastic Mekong River tour. Although the surrounding area can be quite noisy, if you're looking for a lively experience, C Central Hotel is a solid choice to soak in the authentic local culture. Just be mindful of the hustle and bustle when you check-in!
